One of the movies in Universal Pictures’ horror cycle of the early 1930s, The Invisible Man is widely regarded as one of the classics of the genre. Radio Times writes, “The success of this superb adaptation of HG Wells’s novel is down to John P Fulton and John J Mescall’s pioneering special effects and the eerie atmosphere conjured up by horror maestro James Whale.”
Of Abbott & Costello Meets the Invisible Man, Leonard Maltin’s Movie and Video Guide says, “One of the team’s best vehicles….The effects are top-notch.”
