Join us at Franca’s Wine Room (260 W. Dominick Street) for the Cinema Capitol’s annual Oscars Viewing Party! Due to the repairs and renovations pending at Cinema Capitol following the tornado, we have decided to keep this tradition alive and move our party down the street to our friends and neighbors at Franca’s! We will still have all the fun and get-together-ness of our typical parties but this time with more food, more drinks and more screens! Franca’s is a great alternate venue due to the ample number of viewing screens, abundant seating, great PA and, of course, their wonderful hospitality!
Admission is $20, the cost of which covers all the food you’d like (including FREE POPCORN!) and a portion of which will go to the Cinema’s ongoing recovery.
The doors will open at 6:30 pm, around the time the stars will be walking the red carpet, before the ceremony starts at 7:00 pm. Watch along with us and react in real time to all the surprises and the celebrations, and be prepared for some surprises and fun and games of our own! However YOU want to celebrate the biggest night in movies is exactly how WE want you to celebrate!
We have had great turnout over the last few years and we expect more of the same this year. We do advise getting tickets now on our website, so that you know you have a seat at the second best place to celebrate the cinema apart from the Dolby Theatre itself! We hope that you come and join us!
